Think you'll go mad if you have to endure another round of deafening arcade games? For your next party – birthday, Halloween, playgroup potluck, you name the occasion – try the Pittsburgh Toy Lending Library for kids in kindergarten and younger. Party rental includes exclusive use of the Toy Library space and enough toys and activities to keep even the shortest attention span happy. You supply the food, and the kids supply their own fun.

The Pittsburgh Toy Lending Library was recently rated the Best Place in the Burgh for a child's Birthday Party by Pittsburgh Magazine.

We are located at 5401 Center Avenue (rear of First United Methodist Church). Email us at pghtll@yahoo.com for available dates and times. Further information about fees, availability, guidelines, and rules is available here.

• Members: $60.00 plus $50.00 deposit
• Non-Members: $120.00 plus $50.00 deposit (Checks and cash accepted)

The Toy Library is available for parties on Saturdays and Sundays after 1:30 p.m. and on weekdays after 3:30 p.m. It is also available on weekdays when we are closed due to a school holiday. We schedule only one party per day – you may have your event at any time during available hours.

• Your deposit check and rental check are due one week prior to the event. Please write out two separate checks. We will not cash your deposit check and will mail it back to you at the end of the month. You may drop off your checks at the Toy Library with the desk volunteer any time during normal operating hours or you may contact Shawn Alfonso Wells at ptll.partycoordinator@yahoo.com
if you wish to mail the check. Deposit checks are all returned at the end of each month unless there are damages, which will have been discussed with you by the Party Coordinator.

• Two to three days before your event, stop by the Toy Library during normal operating hours to pick up a Party Packet from the desk volunteer. The packet will contain general information, visitors parking permits, a Release of Responsibility sheet for all children attending who are not members, and a key.

• The party packet must be returned within 3 days following your party. If you cannot meet this time frame, please contact Shawn to make alternative arrangements.

• The person renting the Toy Library is responsible for all children who use the facility. Each parent/guardian who is not a member of the Toy Library will be expected to sign a Release of Responsibility for their child (children).

• Please make sure that all cars display their parking permit to avoid any problems with being ticketed or towed.

• Latex and rubber balloons are not permitted as they present a choking hazard. Foil balloons are permitted.

• Children over six years old are not permitted on climbing equipment, rocking horses or trampolines.

• All food and drink must be kept in the Kitchen and Dinosaur area – no exceptions. You must take all food with you when you leave. Please make sure to double-check the refrigerator and freezer.

• Clean kitchen and eating area floors and counters. A mop and broom can be found in the closet behind the desk.

• Take all garbage to the dumpsters in the parking lot. Replace the garbage bags; extras are found in the kitchen drawers.

• Make sure all toys are picked up and placed back on shelves.

• Don't forget to turn out all of the lights and lock the door.

• Return the party packet within 3 days.

• If you have any problems during your party, please contact the party coordinator, Shawn Alfonso Wells, at ptll.partycoordinator@yahoo.com. If she is not available, look on the bulletin board by the cubbies – a list of other Board members is posted. Call any of them until you find someone to assist you.

HAVE A GREAT PARTY - THANKS FOR SUPPORTING THE TOY LIBRARY!!!
