The Pittsburgh Toy Lending Library is lucky to have many supporters who contribute in a variety of ways. Our volunteers on duty give their time to help keep the playspace open, but many others help as well. We also benefit from the donation of expert services; for example, contractor AJ Stones stopped by to fix our front door when it was slamming shut too hard and too fast for parents juggling kids, toys, and bags. Some people donate money for new toys, while others drop off outgrown toys for us to use or to sell so that we can buy the toys we need. Some contribute funds through the United Way campaign. Many supporters provide items for our annual silent auction, our largest fundraiser of the year. To all of our supporters – THANK YOU!

We usually accept donations of gently used toys to the Toy Library. Please contact Toy Coordinator Victoria Groce about toy donations at (412) 682-4430.

Sometimes toys are donated which are inappropriate for the library; sometimes floor toys are no longer needed. When this happens, we try to sell them and use the money to buy toys we really do need.

You may make a tax-deductible donation specifically to help pay for new and gently-used toys that we purchase each year for our playspace and library. Gifts may be made in honor of someone special – for a birthday, anniversary, graduation, etc. – and a gift card will be sent to the honoree informing them of your gesture (the amount of the gift will be kept confidential).
